As consultants, our office developed the mould geometries for the production of a steel structure with tree columns, which comprises two different types of cruciform steel columns: one with three branches, the other with four branches.
Each tree comprises a cruciform steel column, 13m high, made of paired UBs. Four branch-like tapered beams are welded to the top of the columns and are stiffened at the ends with CHS posts, on which the barrel-vault roof structure rests.
The geometries were developed using the visual programming Grasshopper that runs within Rhinoceros 3D, thus, ensuring high precision of the final model.
