Located in Montebelluna (Treviso, Italy), at the heart of the renowned Sport System District, one of Europe’s most significant industrial hubs, Infinite Area is a forward-thinking coworking campus, created through the transformation of an abandoned factory into a space of innovation and collaboration. The campus consists of two primary buildings: the Hangar and the PAT Area, each contributing to the campus's dynamic and modern identity.
The Hangar is particularly striking, designed as a sleek, modern parallelepiped constructed from glass and concrete. It sits gracefully within a carefully maintained emerald-green garden, providing a strong visual contrast to its industrial roots. The transformation of the factory into this state-of-the-art campus required extensive effort to adapt the existing structures while preserving the unique industrial style that reflects its history.
Inside, the robust exterior shell of the building is balanced by the use of light and refined materials such as glass, timber, and steel, which give the interiors a contemporary and open feel. This interplay between heavy and light elements adds to the building’s visual appeal and functionality. Similarly, the cool, stark qualities of the concrete walls and industrial resin floors are softened through the use of vibrant, colourful super-graphics. These graphics not only bring a lively energy to the space but also serve a practical role by assisting with campus wayfinding, ensuring that form and function coexist seamlessly.
The result is a coworking environment that blends modernity with heritage, innovation with tradition, and industrial robustness with inviting warmth, making Infinite Area a standout example of adaptive reuse and creative design.
