Located on the top floor of a high-end residential complex near Battersea Park, the flat required full refurbishment and a more efficient use of the spaces.
The design takes advantage of the small scale of the flat to create greater continuity between the different rooms. The wall unit in the living room extends into the corridor and the master bedroom incorporating the door of the kids bed-room and the furniture in the walk in wardrobe, thus, acting as element of connection between the different rooms.
Various floor finishes were originally installed in the different rooms, which resulted in a greater fragmentation and reduction of the perceived space. The existing floors are replaced with a large format stone tiles, which ensures perfect continuity between the rooms.
The design of the furniture is kept minimal, thus, emphasising the strength of the geometries and the lines of the joints, which become the real element of decoration.
