Project description

Hotel Foscarini occupies a historic Venetian villa set at the end of a tree-lined drive, within a mature, wooded park. The project restores the building as a boutique hotel, giving new life to its symmetrical façade, shuttered windows and arched openings while adapting the interiors to contemporary hospitality.

The exterior intervention is deliberately restrained. The proportions of the villa are left to speak for themselves, and a discreet lighting scheme picks out the rhythm of the windows and the central balcony at dusk, turning the arrival along the gravel drive into part of the guest experience.

Inside, the suites combine the character of the historic building with a calm, contemporary language. Venetian terrazzo floors and Murano glass chandeliers are paired with soft upholstery, full-height curtains and slender black steel glazed partitions, which divide the spaces without interrupting light or views.

The palette is light and neutral, allowing the original features and the craftsmanship of the materials to remain the protagonists. The result is a hotel that feels rooted in its place, where heritage and comfort sit naturally side by side.
